Designed by William Mitchell, Quinta do Lago Sul opened to the public in 1974 and has since had the honour of hosting the “Portuguese Open” 8 times: 1976, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990 and 2001, among other important professional and amateur events. For many professionals, Quinta do Lago Sul is considered the favourite.
